K-9 Companions was founded in 1979. We have nearly 40 years of experience in dog training—not including the combined years of experience of our individual staff members.
What type of methods do you use?
We believe in and use positive reinforcement, motivation and mild correction. We do not kick, hit, hang, shock or otherwise abuse dogs.
Some trainers believe in aversion-style training—that is, “Do it or you will pay.” This just leads to a squelched spirit and an emotionally broken dog. We find what motivates your dog and use that as a training tool.

What assurance do I have that you will be there for me in the long run?
Nearly 40 years in business along with the fact that we own our training facility should help you feel secure in trusting K-9 Companions with your pup’s training. We know that your dog is part of your family—and we are committed to providing support to our clients even after the training is over. You can call us at any time with questions or concerns.
